If I have a Motu product for sale can I mention it somewhere on this site?
Thanks.

Today, I was monitoring through the 828 mk3, and during the middle of a song, all the audio stopped, and then this horrible high pitched squeal came through every channel on the interface including the headphones, and blew out two tweeters in my monitors, and destroyed a brand new pair of $200 beyerdynamic headphones i just purchased and haven't even used for 15 minutes. Now I'm out of speakers, which is going to cost me $500 to replace. The headphones should still be warrantied, but the damage to my ears will never be replaced or compensated. I just might have to involve my lawyer in this one. I'll be calling MOTU Monday through Friday, all day, until I get an explanation and some sort of compensation. This is absurd that a company could release a product that obviously doesn't operate properly, and is actually dangerous to the consumer. I still have a ringing in both of my ears from the high pitched squeal.
From what I've read online, the bugs have been solved in the new firmware update, but apparently they haven't, and have actually gotten worse.

Thanks for pointing that out.jlaudon wrote:Hi Panduri,
Check out the sticky in the DP forum on this.
Re: the issues some mentioned - I haven't had any problems a
t all with the mk3 - 10.4.8 and 10.4.11 / intel pb.
Since I already had the Motu drivers installed I just plugged it in and it's been rock solid. Wish I could say the same for Apogee's drivers.
But, I don't quite like the mk3 sound.
