As Timothy Leary nearly said:

'Sit in ... sit out ... sit down' (man!)

Well it's DAY EIGHT already and still no official response from MOTU ..... but a great atmosphere here at last (after a few early scuffles) ... peace reigns, and a slightly cheesy smell I must say ... but everyone's singing and drumming and making colourful dongle jewellry and - oh hang on a minute....

Oi mate! .... don't Bogart the laptop! that battery's gotta last till the weekend and we've all got emails to check and forums to post in!

There's always one!

Classic, man.

I swear, it wasn't me!

Dunno what this means in this context; it's normally a toke, isn't it?
OK, I'm probably guilty on both counts!

You mean "forum", don't you? One forum to rule them all?
Only two addresses are needed in Unicorns' browsers; da Nation and MOTU.

What, a monkey?
Damn right, you are.

Oh, yeah, 'been workin' on a new variation.
It's got some kinda congo-monkey groove, methinks:

Go Machy! K2 Killer! Go Machy! K2 Killer!
Go Machy! ............. Go Machy! .............
Go Machy! K2 Killer! Go Machy! K2 Killer!
Go Machy! ............. Go Machy! .............

Sometimes when I go to the loo
Although it sounds funny
I think that surely it's time for Mach Five version 2
And whether or not I've thrown away my money

For a company that manages to look so cool
As I get up and think about what to wear
I hope they haven't forgotten the sonic rule
That you can't make music with vapourware!

...
...

It's got to be coming within a few days or weeks now hasn't it?

LOL

I'm convinced that M5v2 is going to make its debut at Devil's Tower in Wyoming, appearing out of the midnight sky singing some crazy pentatonic tune...

...... yeah right!

and it'll have this amazing interface that opens from behind your other windows, then flips around lighting up you entire project as you gaze at your monitor in awe ....... and then you look in the on board library and find just a single (admittedly 5.1) synth patch ..... with just five notes mapped....

Do Di doo da DOOOO....

(I actually find that scene from you picture quite moving when I watch the movie ... :) )

....mmm... that scene just makes me want to eat mashed potato. Can we order in? Is there a mashed potato delivery company anywhere near the sit-in?

Notice the TV--

Like sands through the hour glass, so are the days of our lives

...(waiting for MachFive v2)

Close Encounters was a great movie when it first came out-- just saw it again a couple of weeks ago-- and it still got me. What a great script.

Well, let's hope Spielberg makes a sequel where Roy comes back with a ship full of MachFive updates.

Yes-- mashed potatoes. A big honking, steaming pile of creamy white Idaho potatoes, oozing with sweet butter and speckled with black pepper.

These sit ins are a lot of work!! Now I'm hungry!!!

I think 3-over and I will go on a food run.

I'm just joining in and have been waiting for V2 since we were a family of four (my daughter is now 14 months old and we are a party of five)...The earth is turning, time is passing, songs and scores are being produced that are blowing peoples minds...all the while, the French developers are eating criossants and making endless updates for MSI, Ethno and their own products. Don't they have more time on their hands since they don't shave or have to put on deoderant on the morning? (oh I forgot about all breaks for wine and cheese...that must make up for it)

It's a quiet, lonely life for us dedicated MachFive users...

At this point, on behalf of my delicacy-eating, folly-avoiding, Bush-baiting European compadres, I'd just like to ask, "Who won the golf?".

Perhaps the delay in MachFive v2 is the ultimate sanction for freedom fries?

Yup, they're trying to get one back over ya.

Lots of issues this week for France; I hope they have their foundations in place.
From what I've seen this year however, it's not lookin' good.
As I often say, though, what would a politically incorrect monkey know anyway?

Thank you for the "poem", miffed.
That was fun. :D

As we wait patiently for the MOTU-magic, Monkey edges closer to the hobbit's food-stash.
Someone mention potatoes? From Idaho?
Oozing with sweet butter and speckled with black pepper?
Man, that's more "gourmet" than this ape's seen in quite some time.
Yum. :D

Let's not forget Machy will quench our pangs.
The new library and new-fangled features shall provide much sustenance.
Calories, no. Sustenance, yes.

Alas, wherefore art thou, Machy? :(

I believe we think so. Hence the sit-in. Again.
Something that equates to our sit-in time-frame would be good.
Just long enough for us to chant, pig-out and have a laugh.
Hopefully.

Cheers, miffed.

PS: Please don't be. (Miffed).
Machy will surely arrive in all it's glory.
Sometime. :D
