When I create an instrument track and then select a MOTU V.I. from insert #1, I see that instrument's GUI. If I then switch it via the dropdown menu to SampleTank or Stylus RMX, it does switch over, but I don't get a GUI. Neither is either V.I. available as a MIDI track destination. I re-installed the latest version of Stylus RMX, with no change. Both plug-ins have been working fine in ProTools. Am I missing something? I'm fluent in Macs and ProTools, but not in DP (yet)...so maybe it's something really obvious.
Thanks.
Why Can't I See Stylus RMX or Sampletank in DP5?

Why Can't I See Stylus RMX or Sampletank in DP5?
MacMini Server 2GHz Intel Core i7/ 4GB RAM / OS 10.7.5 / FireFace800 / MTP AV-USB / DP 8.01 / Reason 6.5.2 / Live 8.3.4 / Waves 9.1
If your VI is loaded correctly, you should be able to double-click on its name in the insert area on the Mixer Window at any time and the VI's interface will pop up. You can also double-click on its name in the Track Overview to do the same.
Once you've loaded a VI properly, you can select a different VI via the Mixer Window's insert. It should bring up the new VI. If the VI interface doesn't pop up, you should be able to double-click like stated above to see it.

Thanks, chrispick. Yeah, when I double-click on Stylus or Sampletank on the insert, it does pop up, but only as a minimized window (I see DP's drop-down selectors and window controls, but no plug-in GUI). Yet, if I double click a MOTU V.I., then it pops up as you'd expect, GUI and all... I thought maybe there was some preference I'd missed or something. Since most everyone else seems to be generally happy with them, I've decided that DP just hates me personally.

That may mean your VI isn't routed to an active output channel. Or your audio interface isn't turned on (unlikely, I know, but I present it as an option). Did you check these things?johnnyvince wrote:Thanks, chrispick. Ermmm, yeah...well, now that you mention it, the output was set to the default "built-in 1-2".chrispick wrote:That may mean your VI isn't routed to an active output channel. Or your audio interface isn't turned on (unlikely, I know, but I present it as an option). Did you check these things?

Now DP quits whenever I try to assign Sampletank to the 002's outputs 1+2, but I seem to remember some documentation about that somewhere. Thanks for the help, chrispick!
