Would be nice if they all used the same installer.

Almost mirrors USA Copyright and Fair Use laws with a couple of exceptions:monkey man wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2024 10:15 pm Just read the TOU and it's fine to use non-commercially, but it looks like you need permission if you're going to use it in anything you intend to make money from:
Using BBC content
Provided you keep to these rules, the BBC grants you permission to use the BBC content but only…
1) For non-commercial, personal or research purposes (for example, including the content on a non-commercial, advertisement-free reminiscence website aimed at helping trigger memories in people with dementia)
2) For formal education purposes while you are a student or a member of staff of a school, college or university (for example, if you are enrolled on a university or college course, or if you are a school pupil, or you are a teacher and you wish to display the content on an electronic whiteboard, including images in a printed class worksheet)
When you need permission
If you’re intending to use it for any other purpose, for example…
1) substantially to do your job – as an employee, contractor or consultant
2) for commercial purposes – to make a profit
3) for non-profit and government organisations
4) to do text and data mining, computer analysis or to develop or train artificial intelligence
…you’ll need to get our permission first, and you might have to pay a fee.
It appears to me that, like sampling of any kind, one needs permission to use it in a derivative work intended for publication. In the broadest sense of the word, publication means made available to the Public in any form.So yeah, not sure if using it in our own songs counts as commercial use 'cause I don't see it specified.
