It is not another felt piano. Worth picking up.

There's an additional loyalty discount that bumps it to 70% off. I logged in at the Steinberg site, and clicked on the vouchers tab on the left. It showed what I think is a list of products for which I am eligible for a 70% off voucher. I clicked on the chevron for the WaveLab 12, and it showed a voucher code. I entered it at check out and got WaveLab 12 Pro for $150.

Thanks for the heads up! Lots of other freebies on that site, too, when you go to the Kontakt page and click on the link. In addition there are some bundles advertised but when I put them in my cart, the prices went up—huh? but when I added some new freebies, the prices went to the ones advertised. Ok...

While there, I was able to pick up some inexpensive upgrades to libraries that I bought in 2015. Even though a couple are now duplicates, the overall discounts made that a non-issue.

The downloads page is a bit confusing. They show a downloader but it doesn't work. Going to my Orders page and navigating. there was everything I ever ordered including freebies and packages etc. I had to click on bundles to find all me downloads but I located them all eventually including libraries that I had bought in 2015 but hadn't installed before. Made for a long afternoon but everything is installed now.

Interesting... I have the Horizon bundle so I have to see if it's worth it or I'm duplicating a lot of stuff.

Oops... Looks like I have everything in Platinum in the Horizon bundle already. But that's a good deal if you don't have much Waves stuff already.

apulSoft releases splitS - An Elegant Solution for Vocal Sibilance

Post by Grigri »

Hello!

There is a brand new plugin from Apulsoft: SplitS!

It was created in close collaboration between Adrian from Apulsoft and Swiss mixer Thomas “Mister T.” Gloor. This audio plugin is designed to help manage sibilance in vocal recordings, providing a straightforward solution for producers and audio engineers.

I was lucky to be part of the beta team and IMHO, it is a great tool to manage easily the sibilance or HF bleed
I use it now all the time on vocals or to reduce Hi-hat bleed in the snare or toms channel.

You can see more info here: https://apulsoft.ch/splits/

There is a launch price (49$)until November and there is a 10 day demo.

All the best

David

It should be noted that $30 gets you $100 in Jam Points. If you are planning on purchasing IK products Jam Points can be used to up to 30% off an item, mostly even when they're on sale. Humble is a non profit that uses all their money for childhood music education, so it's for a good cause.

ReLAB Rev6000 Essentials for $19

Post by Rick Cornish »

I own a ReLAB 'verb and like it. Here's a new one that looks pretty good.

If you own a ReLAB product or otherwise qualify for their crossgrade, it's $19. Otherwise, the pre-release price is $29.

Huh? I’m in the wrong business.

Unlike the Kontakt/Kontakt Player model, SampleTank is like UVI Player: it’s free.

SampleTank 4 comes with 4GB libraries in the free CS (Custom Shop) package. The paid versions vary in the number of included libraries. Here are all of IKM’s CS freebies.

https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/ ... r%20Filter

A few years ago, I had taken advantage of some sales and upgraded to a SampleTank 3 based version of Total Studio. Then a macOS update came out a couple months later and nothing worked—IKM Support told me that I needed a paid upgrade. Damn!

So, before paying, I downloaded the free SampleTank 4 CS to check compatibility and was in for a surprise. Everything now worked—instant upgrade for free!

Re: New Borealis reverb+ plugin from Mntra

BKK-OZ wrote: Wed Jul 31, 2024 5:12 pm I thought it worthwhile mentioning this new plugin for two reasons - first, it's currently on special, and second, they helped me out getting DP to recognise/load their (freebie) VST 3 version.

I tried the LE version and found it so CPU intensive as to be almost unusable. Easily the most of any reverb that I have. MNTRA customer service told me that should not be the case, but to look for a more optimized version. Well that new version (1.0.1) seems to be even more CPU intensive. Anyone know of a fix? I like the verb, but at this point don't really want to go for the full version. At a 256 buffer:
