Monster Strings - FREE

Post by James Steele »

Pretty cool FREE string VI. (It's also Apple Silicon native.) Here's the link:

https://agushardiman.tv/monster-strings ... ram-usage/

From the page:
#MonsterStringsVST is a Free String virtual instrument that sound great but still lightweight in RAM usage.

I’m Agus Hardiman and I made this Monster Strings as light as possible but still usable for your music arrangement.

For example, some presets are just around 25MB of file size.

If you compare Monster Strings VST with any other VST plugins from East West, 8Dio, Native Instruments, or anything else, my VST doesn’t have detailed and many string articulations sound but I do hope this VST has its own use in your music production!

In this 1st version, Monster Strings has 13 Presets, divided into 2 main categories: ACOUSTIC and SYNTHESIZER. ACOUSTIC has 2 sub-categories which is ENSEMBLE and SOLO.

OMG ITS SO GOOD.
Wow… great video. I am about to become $27.99 poorer. :shake:

AZ Studio Workstations Sale

Post by Rick Cornish »

OK… it's not a plugin, but AZ is having a sale for most of November:
Shop from Tuesday, November 1 until Sunday, November 27 and save $150 on any purchase over $1,000. There is no code needed. Simply choose your desk and the discount will be applied automatically.
https://azstudioworkstations.com/

I have one of their desks myself. It's built like a tank and has held up beautifully over the 8 years I've owned it. This guy builds quality stuff.

I did that a couple days ago. Just so it doesn’t throw anybody, I’m not sure, but you may not actually see the discount reflected until you go to the checkout page.

Yes. I understand that. I was logged in and it didn’t show me the discount until it went in the cart on a new page. At least if I recall correctly. I guess I have to be very careful and precise with my reading and posting. That’s exhausting. Was just trying to help as I’m too tired to go to my computer and bring up the site and repeat then steps.

Don't know how they do it but Rigid Audio has a ridiculously cheap special on two virtual soundscape instruments on sale for 24 hours. 99 cents each. So stupid cheap I just bought them and downloaded them while on a phone call with a friend. Didn't even listen to them yet. LOL

UVI Prime8+ Drum Machine - normally $39, FREE with CODE

Post by James Steele »

Just saw this on the latest "Deal Compressor Show." Here's a the link to the video: https://youtu.be/piES3nsbzW0
(I recommend you subscribe to this guy's YouTube channel.

Anyway, UVI's Prime8+ drum machine soundbank for Falcon/UVI Workstation is normally $39. If you check out and user the promo code FREEP8, it will change your total to $0.00

Here's where to get it: https://bit.ly/3NAl5hT

(I am having problems with that link just above. The "BUY" button doesn't seem to work. What does seem to work for me is going to the YouTube video here https://youtu.be/piES3nsbzW0 and then using the link in the video description. Scroll down to where you see "SNEAK FREEBIE." Maybe UVI is making sure the links come from the YouTube promotion?)

Here's an overview:

Plug-in Sales and Special Deals Sticky Topic

Post by James Steele »

Pulsar Audio is having an early Black Friday sale:

https://pulsar.audio/products/

What really caught my eye was their 1178 plugin that I saw not too long ago on a YouTube video with Marc Daniel Nelson (see 8:50 of this video: https://youtu.be/adOIGobxUvc?t=530) and was pretty impressed by it. That's $59... AND... turns out I didn't realize it but I had a credit card that allowed me to pay with earned airline miles... yes!

BFD3 Acoustic Drum Studio $49.99

Post by James Steele »

Got an email about this this morning from ADSR Sounds. Normally $329, on sale for $49.99

https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/soft ... -software/

I'm not sure how well this works as it is not native and not sure if this was the version HCMarkus was having some issues. It does appear from the specs that it requires Rosetta 2.

Just for giggles I added it to my cart and was immediately confronted with a dialog box warning me to read the system requirements to be sure it is compatible with my system. Perhaps that's just standard on that site. I don't remember.

NOTE: I just did some poking around and fxpansion's website says M1 processors not officially supported and that it *may* work with Rosetta 2:

https://support.bfddrums.com/en/support ... patibility

I guess probably good idea if you have an M1 Mac to hold off for now until someone chimes in that it works okay in DP, but I think HCMarkus mentioned you had to run DP itself in Rosetta for it to work. In fact, don't think this plugin has been updated in quite some time... hmmm...

I've successfully run BFD3 under DP Rosetta on my M1 Mac Studio. Doesn't work at all under DP Native on my M1, unless it works in a wrapper, as James has suggested it might (i.e. BlueCat, Komplete Kontrol).
