are you sure this isn't mentioned in the manual? In the Mastering chapter about rendering external processors to audio (im not at my manual so cant give pg refs)

if your track is recorded to audio, simply Edit > Shift that track earlier by the number of samples in your buffer setting

eg, if ur set at 512, shift the audio earlier by 512 samples. I dont use it extensively but I used it the other day when running and bassdrum track through my hardware sampler and i sounded perfectly matched to a normal duplicate track

I don‘t have access to the manual. I only use the every once in a while when I have some free time and I use DP on a friend‘s studio... but I don‘t think it works on live tracks... at least not with a 001...

But gess what... it could be worse. I just tried doing this in logic express 7.1 and it can be done only in 8 tracks, ‘cause it only has 8 busses and aux tracks only accept outputs from multi channel virtual instruments... it SUX even worse!!!

You said it- Hardware insert- not software. The whole thing is better if you have some kind of low latency monitoring- not simple Delay compensation which moves athe tracks. The thing is to get the returning signal up to speed. Another reason some folks mix outside the box, because the analog mixer at the end of the chain doesn't have any A/D or D/A delays to cause problems.

Ok, I tried with the UAD Delay Comp plugin and I could make it work... maybe my copy of Latency Fixer is not working.
I sent all my tracks to a bus w/ UAD DC, and the snare track coming from the outboard compressor returning on another buss.
I had calculated 90 samples round trip w/ my converters and I had to set UAD DC to 2 plugs and 100 samples to make it sound right...
Any comments?

Does Latency Fixer work on Aux Tracks (which then send out to hardware and come back in on another aux track)? It doesn't seem to for me, but I'm probably just missing something.

I hope that's not the case b/c busses(via auxes) are where I want incorporate my outboard 95% of the time. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
