Connecting Avid S3 via AVB to MOTU 16A

Hi there

I'm trying to connect a PT session which uses the Avid S3 desk in Studio B to my MOTU 16A in Studio A via AVB

MOTU Discovery doesn't see it and I don't know how to advise my colleague about how to set it up correctly there...

I believe I should be able to get this working... Shouldn't Discovery be able to see it? And then use MOTU Pro Audio Control to handle the received audio channels here?

Perhaps I need to make a Network Session in Audio MIDI Setup> MIDI window?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated

Just to follow up.... it seems we need to use an AVB switcher ... pretty sure now that it's not possible with a direct connection

MOTU Discovery looks for 'MOTU AVB devices'... which the S3 is not... and Avid states that an AVB switch is required

So there it is... I will update if/when we make progress with this
