Re: DP 11.04 Released
My guess is that the DP app is exactly the same, and that they added something to the installer for OS Monterey 12.3, which was apparently released on March 14, two days before this DP build.

Re: DP 11.04 Released
That makes sense. I remember something like that with DP 8 after a Mavericks update.Killahurts wrote: ↑Sun Mar 20, 2022 7:06 am My guess is that the DP app is exactly the same, and that they added something to the installer for OS Monterey 12.3, which was apparently released on March 14, two days before this DP build.

Thank you for installing Digital Performer 11.04.

Complete DP 11 documentation
You can find complete DP 11 documentation (PDF files) in Digital Performer's Help menu. Table of Contents entries, index entries, and cross references are live links that will jump to their destinations. In some cases, you may need to click directly on the page number (rather than the heading).
Changes and new features
For a comprehensive list of new features, please refer to New Features in Digital Performer 11, available in Digital Performer's Help menu, which provides the page number in the manual for each new feature.
Enhancements introduced in version 11.04
Enhancements and optimizations
• Optimized file opening and closing speed.
• Optimized chunk paste speed.
• When a chunk is duplicated, now so are its saved times.
• Saved times in one chunk can have the same names as saved times in another chunk, or in the global list.
• Saved times dialogs now come up in the correct location.
Fixes
• Updated EUCON to respond to the new show/hide plugin message. This fixes a bug resulting in inconsistent show/hide plugin UI behavior on EUCON surfaces when opening and closing inserts.
• Fixed an intel optimization bug that was causing a crash in the Auralizer plugin.
• Fixed per-channel delay UI in N-Channel Delay plugin.
• Fixed non-offline (realtime) bounce to disk.
• Fixed a bug in which canceling non-offline bounce to disk would result in transport playing.
• Fixed a crash that could occur after deleting a chunk with saved times.
• Fixed a bug causing the spline tool not to redraw correctly when moving in certain directions relative to the start point.
• Fixed a bug in MusicXML causing notes to export with "XML_SPACE_ENCODE" when manually assigned to a non-default articulation slot with no assigned symbols.
• Fixed a bug where only MIDI channel 1 would be used for calculating the longest note, this was causing issues selecting notes on different channels.
• Fixed crash bug when recording MIDI.
• Fixed a crash that could occur when selecting a clip in the SE.
M2 Studio Ultra, RME Babyface FS, Slate Raven Mti2, NI SL88 MKII, Linnstrument, MPC Live II, Launchpad MK3. Hundreds of plug ins.

Re: DP 11.04 Released
Are they different from the original 11.04 release notes? It'd be weird if they updated the update.Michael Canavan wrote: ↑Sun Mar 20, 2022 10:22 am The release notes are in the installer, copied from there:

Re: DP 11.04 Released
Ah, thanks! I missed that. ...um, but I'm not sure what that means. Should Monterey users reinstall 11.04 using this new build?

Re: DP 11.04 Released
You'll find that the build number would've incremented. At least, that's how these things usually work.
Just download the 11.04 installer again if you haven't already bud.

Re: DP 11.04 Released
Probably not necessary, signing just means less hoops to jump through when it's installed as far as I know. Won't hurt anything to though.

Re: DP 11.04 Released
I posted TechLinks about the consecutive note bug, the note-respell bug, and the switch-staves bug, even gave them a video showing the issue, and an example project. But MOTU support just ghosted me. No response at all.

Re: DP 11.04 Released
Do you think I would be better off installing Monterey on my MacBook Pro? I'm running Big Sur 11.2 and have been getting crashes when running DP 11.04, mostly when dragging or moving soundbites while in the sequence window. I just upgraded from DP 10 and DP 11 seems a bit twitchy to me.....

Re: DP 11.04 Released
Everyone's experience will be different, but I had non-stop drama for three days straight when I upgraded from Catalina to Monterey last week, as it initially bricked my 2017 iMac and I thought I'd have to buy a new computer (right after buying a new house; no budget for it).
As for DP and other apps, for the most part I am experiencing far better rendering and fonts than before, plus more professional feedback on heuristics of the computer and attached devices, but I still have to wait half an hour for the computer to finish booting each time, and experience sluggishness in Apple Mail in particular, as well as it taking over an hour before I am fully able to use the computer (even for launching a Finder window).
I just don't have time to get to the bottom of it right now, as I need to start taxes ASAP and work is lots of challenges and extra time at the moment. But specific to DP, the three times I have launched it since last week, it seemed if anything a bit improved when running on the latest macOS.

Re: DP 11.04 Released
Yeah... I've been using DP since DP 4.11 and I have to say this is by far the buggiest it has been for me. So many little annoying things now. the quantization box graphic I now have to open twice because the first time the graphics are all stretched out and weird looking. Loading sessions which was supposed to be FASTER in this update are now way slower for me. My sustain pedal MIDI data is now being drawn in twice when I record... Can't seem to get ahold of tech support now either. Pretty darn frustrating.
