Not nearly enough information but I'll take a stab at it.
If your amp can output audio via USB, it must be selected as an input device in DP.

Re: Recording from Amp with usb
F that’s the case, then the amp is the issue—your Mac can’t see it.
Does it output audio via usb? Does it require drivers so your Mac can see it? Is there a switch or setting you must engage? Time to consult the manual or ask support. Is there a user group?

Re: Recording from Amp with usb
What Mike said.
Just to say it in another way:
Does Audio MIDI Setup (utilities app) see your amp ?
If it does, then DP should see it.
If it does not, DP can't track from it.

Re: Recording from Amp with usb
So, my iMac can see my Amp ( Boss Katana ). With Garage Band I have no problem to recording. Audio/MIDI setup can see Katana. But, I have no possibility to find in the input of DP. That's allmikehalloran wrote:F that’s the case, then the amp is the issue—your Mac can’t see it.

Re: Recording from Amp with usb
Are you saying it doesn't show up in DP Setup -> Configure Audio -> Configure Hardware? You can't command-click it to add it as an additional audio device?

Re: Recording from Amp with usb
You haven't told us where it "doesn't show up"
Since GB can see it, we know it supports 44.1kHz. If you are using a different sample rate, try that. If you want to use a different sample rate and it won't let you, that's a limitation of the amp.
It needs to be seen there. If not... well it should.CharlzS wrote:Are you saying it doesn't show up in DP Setup -> Configure Audio -> Configure Hardware? You can't command-click it to add it as an additional audio device?
