Did the ability to "have different marker sets for each take" ever get addressed at MOTU?
Would be great for alt film and tv edits so I can know what my alt edit sections are called, and mark timings like 60-30-15s.... :)

Yeah, DP is sort of like a never-ending treasure hunt. I've been using it for almost 20 years and I still find new things every week. I discovered this one a number of years back. I just followed the logic that "all data is stored within takes", and noticed that the Conductor Track could have multiple takes!

The one that's still blowing my mind is the "Mix Modes", which is exactly like Takes but for the MixingBoard and effects! I do think it's poorly labeled though, which made me avoid it for so long. Instead of "Mix Mode Off", it should read "Mix 1", just like with Takes. Currently, choosing "New Mix" erases your original mix (eek!) and starts with a clean slate. It really should create a Mix 2, and save your initial mix under Mix 1. First few times I tried this, it scared the crap outta me, and I was afraid to touch it for a while. Yeah... should say "Mix 1" and choosing "new mix" should create a "Mix 2". People are so used to Takes these days, they should use the same design philosophy.

If there is other data such as tempo informartion that you don't want to store in the clipping, use the View Filter (Setup Menu) to hide that data first.

Awesome idea! Since DP can not save Markers with a template, this is the next best thing for adding predetermined time Markers for scenarios such as post production, e.g., :05, :10, :30 etc. Of course, tempo would need to be the same. Time saver. :)

I would love DP to have multiple marker tracks, or a locate track.

I use markers for video streamers, which means that my conductor track gets so full of events that I can't use it for locate points.

Wait... hold the phone. I just tried it in DP10, and it seems like that feature is now broken. Different conductor takes DO NOT hold different markers as they used to in DP8 (I didn't use DP9 long enough to remember). So scratch that, back to square one.

While you guys are at it, I would love to be able to color code markers. I can make some green if I choose the "Include in find tempo" option, but not only is that not an optimal way to do it, it would be much nicer to be able to have several different colors of markers. (I often spot a film with every cut and line of dialogue, along with EOL's, so the ability to color the most important ones would help.)

And while Dave might be listening, how about the ability to export a single sequence as it's own project? Sometimes I am working on one thing and get an idea for another, and just jot it down in a new sequence, then 'Save a Copy As.' However, if the project I am working in is huge, it's not cool to duplicate all the sound files for the main project. It would basically be the opposite of importing a sequence, no?

And, not on topic, but could sync points be set to a point in the time code, as opposed to relative to bar/beat/tick?

Thanks for listening,
