AU PlugIns Gone Missing
So...opened up DP 10 (Mac 10.11) this morning, having changed nothing since last using it, and it didn't load any audio units. After troubleshooting including searching here and trashing the suggested prefs etc, I feel DP literally does not see the components folder, so it isn't loading ANY audio units (it's loading VST and MAS with no problem). I have restarted, opened other apps (which still do see AU plugins) and am a little befuddled.
Any brilliant ideas gratefully accepted!!

This is too weird:

Sorry I don't have an explanation, but I think it benefits us all to get to the bottom of it.

-the plugins are all in the (components) folder, DP just doesn't see them. Nothing has been deleted.
-the plugins are all installed in the main library folders, not the user library

32-bit / 64 bit weirdness? Permissions?
Go to the preference in DP and see if the plugins are all disabled for some reason.

Likewise. And the best MOTU Tech can say is that I/we need to restore the Mac to before it happened, or update to 10.13...bdr wrote:So...opened up DP 10 (Mac 10.11) this morning, having changed nothing since last using it, and it didn't load any audio units. A couple of Macs, a couple of iPads, an M6, DP, Vienna Ensemble Pro, tons of other stuff… but unfortunately all in the box… other than the M6, no outboard to speak of.

Re: AU PlugIns Gone Missing
I am having this same problem in 9.52.
It just happened today and in the middle of using DP. I noticed that my controller no longer was in sync with DP and DP wasn't reacting to the controller.
I stopped DP with the spacebar and attempted to use Control Surface Setup to get the controller back in line and no go.
I closed the Project and reopened and DP telling me that it could no longer find AUs that were in use.
I rebooted. Same thing.
I went to Preferences > General > Audio Plug-ins. Only MAS and VST plugins are showing. Checked to make sure the plugins are still in their folder. They are.
This sucks!
