Using all inputs simultaneously with 2408 mk3

Post by callum.e »

Hi All,

Brand new to the world of MOTU after purchasing a used 2408 mk3 and PCI 424 last week. Everything is working well and I am successfully recording audio into my Windows 7 system, however I can only record into 2 inputs at once.

When selecting the driver within my DAW (have tried multiple), I can only select either 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6 or 7 & 8, rather than being able to use all 8 analog inputs simultaneously. All analog inputs have been activated in the PCI Audio Console.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I assume you have the Bundles page setup correctly. (SHIFT-U)

Do you have Multi Record selected under the Studio menu?

Thanks for your response Terry!

However, you are going to have to be a bit more specific as I am a complete noob.

Where do I find the Bundles page and the Studio menu? Is it within my DAW (Ableton) or within one of the MOTU programs?

Thanks,
Callum

Oh, sorry Callum! I'm so used to Digital Performer questions here that I completely spaced that you might be using a different DAW!

In Ableton it is in the preferences, I believe, under the audio tab. Not sure where you turn on multi-record. Sorry - that is an ableton live forum question! :-)

Mmm I'm fairly positive it's not a daw related issue unfortunately, more likely driver or OS. I might try and get in touch with motu customer support. Thanks anyway!
