Automation on MIDI plugin
Hello,
I'm trying to write automation on a MIDI plugin (Echo) and I'd like the plugin to be in "bypass off" on bar 1 and on "bypass on" on bar 50.
I tried to look in the sequence window but I can't insert it, I also tried to to go to the channel strip, enabling automation record, and option clicking on the plugin while playing the sequence, but it didn't record it.
Any idea about what I might be doing wrong or how could I do it?
Thanks!

Re: Automation on MIDI plugin
Unfortunately, it can't be done in DP.

Re: Automation on MIDI plugin
you could duplicate the track, put the plug on the duplicate track and use Track Mute/Unmute to control when you hear the effect.

Re: Automation on MIDI plugin
I haven't tried MIDI learn, but its button appears on MIDI plugin GUIs. Perhaps you can assign an unused CC to the Bypass button and then automate with that controller.

Thanks a lot I'll try both solutions, they both sound really good.

Re: Automation on MIDI plugin
Yes, both great suggestions. I guess I was just replying literally; as far as automating MIDI plugins are concerned.
