As a long time user of DP (I wouldn't even consider another DAW app), I would appreciate the leanest, cleanest and meanest code that's possible for DP to work as efficiently as we all really know it could and should under OSX.
Maybe start with an amazingly optimized "Pro" Version, minus some of the less used features...(that's a potential can of worms, isn't it?!...one man's trash, another man's treasure!)
I think DP is truly a wonderful, sometimes magical, application, but I never want it to get in the way of the creative or music producing process.
Thanks for all of your great work, Magic Dave and MOTU...looking forward to an even greater, slicker DP in the (hopefully) not too distant future!

if it works better, faster, stronger....
I might be willing to shell out a couple extra bucks for it.
Otherwise, maybe I should just use someone else's stuff... hopefully I won't have to crack their inch and a half thick book just to figure out how to get the final mix out (still haven't figured that out yet), or to get audio from somewhere else in (it really made me feel dumb to have to break out that big ass book).
Yeah, ease of use... different topic... i'm willing to have to buy a pair of reading glasses if motu is willing to write efficient code.
