Mavericks, DP7.24 and BFD, Autotune 7 issues

Post by Timeline »

Auto tune 7 will not display GUI when selected from an insert. BFD's latex download crashes the system and crash report claims carbon the problem. Been trying to get system straight for a week now since Mavericks crashed my system. Apparently from old remaining files in system.

http://www.eirec.com/AutotuneIssues Will show results when I get Fetch to work later. Cheers, GB

crash report claims carbon is the problem
The crash report is right.

This has nothing to do with Mavericks, BTW.

If the host application uses Carbon based graphics (DP 7.x) but the plugin requires a host that uses Cocoa (DP 8.x), this will happen.

The fix is to update to DP 8.

Read the following from Izotope. BTW, they have re-enabled Carbon support in some of their plugs. Ozone 5 - 5.03 and 5.05b work in DP 7 but 5.04 does not. Some of their plugs no longer work in DP 7 - you have to go back to slightly earlier versions (Nectar 2.01 works; 2.02 does not).

DSP-Quatro has the same issue and users will have to wait until the Cocoa based rewrite is complete. Applications cannot be patched when this occurs.

Thanks Mike. Was feeling all alone up here. Here is another issue I'm having that has me stopped dead in my tracks. In Mavericks, I cannot throughput MIDI though to a VI yet the older sessions made in ML play MIDI though to the VI's. An Apple tech said it could be my machine, early 2009. I can see the MIDI keyboard on the MIDI monitor but not on MIDI fader in record. Weird huh.

I loaded the DP 8 demo and now without reloading any plugs, DP8.05 cleared up the crashing which means DP 7.24 is not totally compatible with these plugs, AFAICS.

The USB MIDI not making to a mmidi fader is still unsolved. Called MOTU and they seem stumped as well.
