8.03 Disconnected my VE Pro instances

Post by Killahurts »

And I can't get them back, even by going back to 8.02.

Normally, when I pull up a document, My VE Pro instances (usually between 3 and 10) connect to the slave machine and load it up. Fortunately, I can reconnect manually to each instance, in every document, but it's a supreme time waster for sure..

Can anyone think of a procedure for getting rid of the pref or other file that would cause this? Should I reinstall 8.02? What would cause DP to change the VEP plugin settings?

Man, 8.02 was working perfectly for me, and I updated just because.. a terrible decision. :shake:

Does disabling and then enabling the VSL VI (the connection window) make a difference?

When mine don't connect automatically (for other reasons), that's what it takes me to reconnect them, even if they are in a V-Rack, like mine.
Mac Mini Server i7 2.66 GHs/16 GB RAM / OSX 10.14 / DP 9.52
Tascam DM-24, MOTU Track 16, all Spectrasonics' stuff,
Vienna Instruments SUPER PACKAGE, Waves Mercury, slaved iMac and Mac Minis running VEP 7, etc.

No, it's that I saved the document with all the VE Pro instances connected, but when I pull up a document, each VEP plugin says "not connected". I can hit the connection button and connect with the corresponding server/instance, and all the data is there, which means that the plugin remembered everything.. just not that it is supposed connect automatically when the document is opened.

This may not seem like a big deal, but it is. I just finally got all the bundles in my current DP documents to be correct, which meant going in and redoing ALL the bundles for EVERY document, by hand, one grid mouse click at a time. This, on account of going to Mountain Lion with my RME MADI card. I just don't want to have to pull everything up again and fix it manually before I can work on it. Uuuuggghhh! :?

Am I the only VE Pro user this is happening to? If I am, I'll just ignore it, if not.. pretty serious problem, as apparently it can't be undone once 8.03 is installed.
