I'm a heavy Reason user...

Just downloaded it - thanks for the heads up. Tried it with DP8 in 64 bit in Rewire mode. Still crashes - still seems to be CoreMidi and I will report to MOTU again:corbo-billy wrote:Update for REASON in 6.5.2. version available .
Not quite sure what this is here for - Motu have already agreed there is a problem so just because one person has no problems it doesn't mean it doesn't exist or all of us with problems are somehow at fault. I am on 10.7.5 whereas that poster was still on Snow Leopard. Either way, this is not a Reason issue but a Motu one as they admit. I am glad someone is not having problems like I am.daniel.sneed wrote:A different experience reported on the other thread

I suspect its more to do with you being on Snow Leopard - obviously I am getting a little frustrated having owned DP8 for over 1 month - didn't mean to sound grouchy! It might be worth Motu knowing that Snow Leopard does not have the same problem in your case.daniel.sneed wrote:Yes, Guitar Gaz, only a single experience.
Just hoping to convince DP8 owners to go for a try on second hard drive.
Which I've been late to try, partially cause of negative experiences reported.
Hope DP8/Reason combo behaves smooth soon for everyone.
Have checked this one?Guitar Gaz wrote:If you have a computer that can run apps in 64 bit as well as 32 bit then you in theory should be able to run DP8 rewired with Reason in 64 bit. Both Reason and DP8 can run in 64 bit - you change them by clicking Get Info on the app in Finder - just tick the box if you want the app to load in 32 bit version.
Yes thanks I knew they have to both be either 64 or 32 bit. This issue was solved long ago with the release of 8.01.daniel.sneed wrote:Have checked this one?Guitar Gaz wrote:If you have a computer that can run apps in 64 bit as well as 32 bit then you in theory should be able to run DP8 rewired with Reason in 64 bit. Both of them must be 32, or 64, bit at once!
My bad - your posting came at the same time as a Motu Tech e-mail asking me about the status of this issue - clearly I forgot to tell Motu and this thread it was solved.daniel.sneed wrote:Thanks for posting Guitargaz.
But sorry, my intent was towards starbearer76's recent post.
