Is it working in 7 after installing 8, 2leftears?!
I was unable to export files as mp3's in DP8. Had loaded several LAME
software pacs and still no luck until I added the file posted by James.
Three hours of my life I'll never get back. Thank you again, James.

Hello,

Same issue here. Installed DP8, but having to use DP7.24 until all my plugs are supported in 8. When I attempted to BTD in 7.24 after the 8 install, several of the options were missing, including L.A.M.E. MP3, per most of the posts above.

If anyone has discovered whether there has been a fix, please post here.

Thank ya!

No fix but there is an easy workaround.

If you have DP 7 and 8 installed as I do, L.A.M.E no longer works in 7.x. The rest of the BTD functions do, however.

Bounce to disk. Open the file in 8, drag your bounce in, select it only and bounce to mp3.

It's an extra step but it works.

Update:

For what it is worth, I was able to get back the mp3 option in DP8. I think my problem was I initially tried to use the 3.99 version of L.A.M.E.. After a little websearch, I found a clue that suggested using 3.98 instead with Snow Leopard which is my OS (as opposed to Lion) which I did and was successful. By the way, it did necessitate that I manually place the L.A.M.E. file (libmp3lame.dylib) inside the MOTU Audio Exports folder.
