Indeed, but this is a new way of DP updates, so future releases should be saved, either as the app itself or the installer. Just sayin...

OMF bug (from FCP) is still there. Volume curves are not imported right.
Those parts (in the picture) where volume curves are hidden, DP plays audio +6dB. Same OMFs are imported right with 7.24

So far Reason Rewire in 64 bit seems to be working with DP 8.01. Fingers crossed. Lorne told me on the Tech Link.

Do you know if they were exported as computed regions or as OMF effects? I've found that computed regions are more reliable, especially when you have crossfades.

I'm not sure, but I never had any problems with 7.24. I have open tech link and they are trying to fix this (I hope). I just have to import OMFs with 7.24 and then load them into 8.

BTW my graphics are flying with 8.01 :)

It's a funny thing, but DP has always had issues with OMFs and AAFs in the past. It's been kind of hit and miss. One might work and the other wouldn't. Some OMFs work, others, not.

That is so true. This really isn't the first time when I'm using older version for importing.

Is the monitor meter issue in 32 bit mode fixed??

Thanx. :)
I just installed and I'm on the OS X that you described.

After 2 minutes, no problems to report.

Memory meter is still showing pretty high on a project that has lots of plugs but no VIs. About 2/3rd of the meter is occupied with the greenish yellow bar.

No red.

As I mentioned earlier (maybe on Facebook), I'm just ignoring it!

Addendum for Patricia.

Just opened a project that has:
  • Addictive Drums
    Kontakt 3
    Kontakt 4
    Trilogy
    MachFive 2
...and 2 plugs...Inspector and Waves RVerb.

I'm redlined and got the "Digital Performer is running out of memory" message.

Sequence is playing, however.

That happened to me too. Use the link I got from twitter at the top of the thread and it will get you there. Or check manually within DP and it will get you there as well.
Same nonsense here.
I'm informed of the update in DP8 which takes me to the downloads area. No problem.
But if I log-in, I get the "no updates..." message. Weird.

Disturbing :(

You are running in 32 bit right?
Why don´t you run in 64 bit and use jbridge?

But not surprising. If you are limiting yourself to 4GB or RAM you are going to get 4GB of RAM worth of memory and with several VIs you will redline.

I'm stubbornly working in 64 bit only and have no issues. Only running about 14 instruments but also a hi-res quicktime across two monitors.

The whole point of DP8 for me is 64 bit. No more unused RAM. No more redlines.
