On a new audio track, the soundbite layer is selected.
Track automation is off.
Now switch to Pitch layer and tweak something.
Does it go? Yes I guess.
Now turn on track automation, does it go? No, I guess.
Turn off track automation, does it go? Yes, I guess.
If the above is true, then your DP acts the same as mine.
(the above only works if track automation is OFF first before you tweak, then if you turn it on =no pitch, on = yes pitch - even while the tweaked section is still in it's tweaked position)
BUT, if track automation is ON 'first' and you switch to Pitch layer and start tweaking - and of course it's not going - it's not going to help if you now turn off track automation.
Instead 'Clear the Pitch corrections' you just made, switch back to the soundbite layer, turn OFF track automation, NOW go back to the pitch layer.
If it still doesn't work, Do this: while the track is at the soundbite layer and track automation is turned off, close the project and open it back up, and go straight to the pitch layer with track automation off.
Let us know what you find.
