Can I connect my 828 mkii s/pdif to nearfield bnc?
I am using an 828 mkii, plugging mic into a pre then to the 828 which then goes to my MAC. I would like to buy a pair of Neumann KH120 d monitors and hook it up as noted in my subject header. I have seen available cables online (rca to bnc) making me believe this will work, but I wanted to ask if I am right. I'd prefer a digital connection over analog if possible. If not maybe I will just go analog, or even consider my seco d mo itor choice Adam A7x.

You absolutely can use the S/PDIF outputs on the 828 for this. All you would need is a simple BNC-RCA cable (Full Compass has plenty of options in stock) or if you've already got some good cables, you can spend a couple of bucks each on an RCA to BNC adaptor (typically $1.99/ea).
Those monitors also accept AES3, as well as Analog inputs and can switch between the three inputs as the need arises. Those are some deluxe monitors... hope you have fun with them!

Thanks so much Steve for the info. Im very excited about them. I just hope that my ear is half as deluxe as they are so that I can take advantage of them.
