So I'm playing with MachFive 3 tonight and going thru the patches in ExtremeFX. I noticed in the LIST menu, I could not only isolate and process each layer of each component, as well as solo or mute each layer, but when I got to the "Scenes" I noticed that the samples were listed along with their mapped keys.
What that does is open the door to very precise editing and extremely easy sample location and selection. Not only that, but you can sort the samples by name or key map. How cool is that!
What I am finding out about M5-3 is that not only is it deep, but that it can and will breathe new life into most of my other instruments. Just the UVI banks by themselves will be like getting several GB of new, very useful sounds.

Auditioning and loading samples couldn't be any easier. Looping is fast and clicks and pops at the ends of loops are easy to see and eliminate.

The arpeggiator is truly a work of art in and of itself.
---
Modulation and FX are clean and the Analysis plugin provides great visual feedback of what you are hearing in the patch.

I haven't been this excited about a software or hardware instrument in a very long time - probably since getting my V-Synth which it would appear will not be necessary for much longer. What else...? oh yeah...
