I Can't "Shift" Select in 7.1

Post by al carmichael »

Back in all other versions of DP, I could hold shift and select individual tracks. For example, I could select track one and four. Now, if I try to do that, I get tracks 1-4. I can't find a way around it. I have searched the prefs but nothing is ringing a bell.

If I want to bounce only certain tracks, I have to drag them around so that they are adjacent. This can't be what Motu had in mind. Can anybody help?

Try Command Select, Shift Select always chooses a range even in the Finder, Command Select chooses individual selections

I think the rule within DP is something like "lists use Command-Click (or drag), while data use Shift-Click."

This came up before. It's a Mac OSX thing, right?

I remember that it used to be Shift-Click to "jump over" some items in a list, but now it's Command-Click system wide, I believe.

I believe that it was in the DP update/upgrade notes a while back stating that they were changing this to more conform to the OS and other apps usage.

I think that was the memo I missed! I went from DP 5 to DP 7.1. I swear I used the shift click for this function before, but it is fine with the command click now. Especially since I know how it is done.
