Hi All

FIrst thanks for making things look different! Second, I just can't get the new downloadable .pkg to work for me. OSX 10.6.2 / DP 7.0.2. I download the correct version, it installs and nothing changes. I have done this several times thinking I was doing something wrong. I already have an Ampgui skin installed, but your site says your's will install over others' skins... Sometimes your installer asks for a folder for DP7, but I don't have the program in a folder other than the Application folder (default for DP I expect) - is that what you mean by folder?

Sorry to be dense, but I'd like to try Uqi...

Hi John. Not dense at all. Please try this. Double click on the installer. Then after the agreement select the HD where your copy of DP is. Then click on the button that says select folder or choose folder (sorry I'm not at home right now so I can't remember ) and select your applications folder ( where you said your DP copy is ). Then click on install and check if it installed Uqi. Please let me know.

Thanks... not choosing my hard drive and doing a "choose location" then choosing my apps folders got your interface to install.

Fun!

Thanks for the new skins!
Excuse me if this has already been asked, but how would one revert back to the original GUI if one needs to do that?

thanks,

You should have made a copy of your DP application file...temporarily moved that copy to a different location for the UI mod installer and then when you ran the UI mod, it would have created or updated the "copy." Not the original .app Then you can put the original back in the applications folder and the original .app and the modded UI .app can sit there next to each other. I renamed my modded one after the install to know which one is it and that is the link I created to in the dock. This way you can open whichever one you want to use. When you update DP in the future with MOTU updates...it will update the original .app file only of course because by renaming it "Digital Performer7.02 (mod)"...or something, it will not be what the MOTU updater is looking for.

If you do not have a copy of the original on your disk (and modified the only copy on the HD)...then the only way back to the original default version is to re-install from your install disk.

Hi iPerformer,

the Aruma 7.02 installer just seems to put a corrupted 7.02 icon in the applications folder. Do you still have available the download without the installer. I don't mind using that...

thanks

Hey waxman.
To install any of my mods you have to choose the folder where your copy of DP is. Even if it is in the Applications Folder. Read the installer guide.
If you install it without choosing the folder where DP is you'll end with a corrupted file.
The reason why I did the installer that way is because some people (me for example) have DP application into another folder than Applications Folder. So Choosing the folder is the solution.
Cheers

What a cool look! I just can't believe how much better off we are in DP since you and Amp started doing these mods. And not to forget earlier attempts by Monkey Man, Timeline, and others. But YOU guys have taken it to a whole new level or three.

I love the retro feel of this one. If you recall that animated movie called "Robots," this one reminds me of the colors of that main character. Very nice effects.

Thanks SO much!

Vintage is very nice, reminds me a lot the old days :)
Maybe not too crazy about the "lite bluish nuendo" here n there, but it's a great job indeed.
