For me, as a guitarist, the amp, stomp boxes, cabinet and room simulation are a very cool thing. reey'ew probably not the best there are, but they should be usable and unique, which is relevant to me. You won't get too far with modulations anyway. And-- the demo songs had some real- life playing in them! Nice shreddy lines, not some mullet sporting miami vice riffs from a Tony Little training video! Respect for that MOTU

I also like the inline EQ and dynamics. My only concern here is CPU- efficiency.
Range automation-- yes! This was one of my feature requests a time ago. Should be a time and probably a CPU- saver.
Sidebar cells-- very cool, should be a nice workflow enhancer.
Real- time crossfades-- Nice! This has been a long time request by many, and one of DP's weaknesses, at least for me. Many of my crashes were related to crossfades.
Many of my concerns with DP have been related to some small shortcomings or some non-thoroughly thinked features, so this gets me particularily interested:
Digital Performer 7 offers new features, enhanced operation and improved performance at all levels, from hundreds of small enhancements driven by user requests to major new features and plug-ins that add unprecedented value.
So, thanks MOTU and congratulations for coming up with a competitive product.
