Interested in reports on the AU instrument side chain input :) does it work with NI Absynth, FM8, Virsyn Matrix?

Also Realtime xfades seems to be a long awaited feature.

consolidated VRacks is nice as well

Doesn't appear that SN is required but suggests that it's fully compatible. No mention of 64-Bit support however. I'm sure that comes soon and I'm sure that they'll get their device drivers done first! It wouldn't look to nice to have other competitors deliver 64-Bit drivers and use DP 7 in 64-Bit mode and not get their own done first.

Ummmm, there isn't courier service available that I'm aware of but if they had it, I'd seriously consider going for it! :)

Hmmmm.....
so Motu has been amp modeling this whole time....
Well, i think there's going to be a lot of pissed off people on this forum very soon!
Many of us have many 3rd party plugs that are prob as good!
I was hoping that DP7 would be 64bit (unrealistic, too soon?)... i see nothing about that.
There are a few cool thing like mini mixer in the sequence editor but...

lyrics and lead sheet... who cares.
There are many waiting for 6.03.... how weird.
Is that still possible?
They don't mention when it will be available (do they?).
frankly... i'm not that impressed, yet!
i just hope it works.
anything with a .0 after it scares me.
6.0 was freakin' useless to me.

It just seems crazy for MOTU to offer this before getting all the kinks out of DP6 first and also not offering 64 bit support. Let's face it- whomever comes out with a solid 64 bit DAW that really works and allows more RAM to be used is going to have the attention of many users. I was very surprised that Logic 9 came out and wasn't 64 bit- I mean, c'mon! This is Apple's own DAW program and it came out just as Snow Leopard was released.

I'm personally frustrated with DP7's announcement as this is the first time for me (and I've used DP since Performer version 1 in 1986...God, I'm OLD!) that I'll be upgrading to a new version without having used the prior version, as I've been waiting for DP6 to be more solid (especially with VI compatibility) before using it. I dunno...maybe I'll just stay with DP 5.13 on OS 10.4.11 for a while longer as it works great for me and I really could care less for guitar efx, and while the inline track efx is cool I will simply just keep working the way I do. However, once 64 bit support is implemented, I'll be first in line as I would really love to have multiple VI's run without having to use Bidule or freeze tracks. Also, the elastic audio that PT has would have been a nice inclusion.

Spoke to lovely gal at MOTU and it is good for Leo/SL (didn't ask about Tiger) but she said a dual processor is highly recommended. Bit the bullet and ordered. W-T-F? It's only money, you only live once and if everybody is moving to DP 7 I'll have to have the new version in order to moan about it. Besides, I'm getting tired of bitching about DP 6 and can't really bitch about 5. LOL.

Should ship next week. I hope the UPS guy keeps off my lawn! :)

ps- Me thinks DP 6 is a dead horse in this race.

Uh... what? Unless I don't understand what you mean by "time stretch," the ability to grab and time stretch audio has been a feature since around DP4. ???
