they install without any issues on windows 7 - previous drivers required me to use compatability mode (in fact the last drivers just didn't work very well at all for me). got a few pauses, but it does seem to be working better. as always, only time will tell, often takes a few days for any issues to start appearing. at the moment they are working well.
hi all
just to mention my experience.
all late drivers have problems (1400,1410,1414).
for example nuendo 3 does not work or work without spdif.
last working version was 32fw-3.6.8.1394
my system:
mb asus P5E3, WINXP SP3, MOTU 828MK2 (FIRMWARE 1,01 HARDWARE 1,01), NUENDO 3,2 CUBASE 3,2.
so this 1414 driver has the same no spdif problem.
anyone with same probs?
I'm using SONAR 8.3.1, and all the ASIO output routings are working correctly, here.
I'm using the Vista 64bit version of .1414, and .1410 and .1414 works correctly, in my experience.
I've read in the SONAR forum that .1414 even improves the WDM, WaveRT, performance, though I haven't really tested other than ASIO.
May a song always touch you in a possitive way!

hi HotShot, thanks for the reply
obviously you don't have the 828 mk2 usb that i use, and you don't use nuendo or cubase.
as you understand these drivers are for general use for all firewire/usb motu devices and this means that may improve or fix something in one device but bug another.
they motu techs should test every model with these and mention in the new release what is new and for which model.
anyone here with 828 mk2 usb testing the latest drivers?
thanks
I tried for days to get the 1414 drivers to work with no luck. The fw3.6.8.1410 drivers do work tho by installing them in compatibility mode Vista SP1 and run as admin (all users). I also run all the Motu stuff (CueMix and so on even Cubase) in the same compatibility mode as well. There is another issue with some motherboards where the firewire controller driver needs to set to the legacy. I didn't have to do that but it is another work around to try.
