It's more like what 666 said perhaps. I've written to MOTU a number of times about how their plug-ins appear. They never appear as neatly as they do in Logic. I even wrote to them a detailed description of adding user-created categories and sorting them according to those (they'd of course need to use a prefs file for DP to keep track of it). For example, users could create categories called "Compression" "Delays" "Reverbs" and whatever made sense to the users. When you get many plugs, sorting by manufacturer isn't necessarily that useful.

Here's one I'm noticing. If I go back and forth between the G5 and the MBP with the same session, any Stillwell plug settings made on one system do not exist on the other system upon transfer. All controls are set to a default zero position after transfer. That's a bit of a deal-breaker; is there a work-around? How would you pull up a session on a different system a year down the road? Save a preset for any setting used, and move the presets with the DP session to the other system? I checked a few instances with known saved user presets, and they don't reload if toggled. Maybe it's a GUI issue? I need to save an instance with an extremely audible setting and check that.

In reply to my previous posting on this thread: My Rave continues.

I just did a live show tonight full band acoustic guitar, violin, ect. Using the rocket compressor. I was approached by several audio guys after the show and they thought it was uad, or waves. I said it was better: it was stillwell. I'm not sure how often it has been used in a live environment but it was AMAZING. I even ventured into using the audio gain comp. magic. Thanks again Scott!
