DP 6:02: Stillwell Plugs Issue

Post by kassonica »

Seems all good here and a tad snappier (really) BUT.....

The stillwell plugin (1073) doesn't seem to working, can't adjust the Eq knobs.

Can someone check whether it's working on your end...

Not working here either, strangely however I was sure I could in 6.01, now I have to check.
DP 10.0, UA Apollo Two, UA Octo, far too many plugs.

Confirmed. Friggin 6.02 broke all my Stillwell Plugs. :x

(Ending this post now before I totally fly off the handle. It's a good thing I cloned my system before I installed 6.02. Now, I can go back to 6.01, which doesn't work either!)

Newish Mac Pro 8-core

To clarify: Stillwell plugs definitely worked in 6.01.

Odd because "The Rocket" is working for me, but then I'm on PPC.

Stillwell plugs are working fine here (Transient M, Rocket, Major Tom & Vibe EQ)
I have only test them on my macbook.
There is a bug already present in 6.01, when a Stillwell plugin window is active, there is no more shortcut possible (space bar stop play)

I like already this new dp version and the new feature :D

Maybe I should go to 10.5.6? Nah, that wouldn't make much difference, would it?

You might want to look at the Apple Discussion groups first, and see what 10.5.6 broke first.
Yeah, I'm not really going to do it just yet. Just brainstorming...

and to answer a previous post, yes--the 'lockout' of the transport when in the Stillwell plug windows is something I have dealt with for a while. No big deal to me. I just want the knobs to turn. :?

crapola.. well I loaded DP6.02, and Stillwell Rocket comp is dead beans. A project with it already inserted works, however no (big) knobs , or sliders work!! Buttons do.

FYI, its in demo mode, and seeing Davids(grigri) post being on OS10.4.6 may be the culprit-at least the difference I see. I did dump DP AU cache since someone reported it killed ST(Sampletank). didn't check that yet though. same results.

Glad I held off purchasing Stillwell....but Rocket Comp sounds so good

Yeah, I've held off too. But Stillwell seems to be on the ball. I'm sure they'll fix it soon. I'm thinking of getting the Rocket myself. Their prices are hard to beat.

So far my brief experiences with 6.02:
A bug with Model 12 randomly not responding to MIDI input - not fixed.
A problem I was having with pre-rendering on some VIs - appears to be fixed, but too early to tell.
A problem with one of my old projects that seemed to have random latency compensation screwups - seems to work fine in 6.02, yay! :)
The new shortcuts window - very cool.
Buggy auto-scroll seems to be fixed.

And that's just after a couple of hours of playing with it.

Happy camper here. :D

OKAY... I MUST EAT CROW NOW...

I apologize... I was indeed incorrect. I thought Rocket was working properly in 6.02 but it was not. I must have only been using pre-sets and not done any knob tweaking. The knobs are indeed messed up in DP 6.02. To add to the frustration, I just did a quick check and of course there is no such issue in Logic Express 8.02... and on top of it... Rocket works fine with REAPER... a shareware DAW!!
