I assume that this is an Intel only update?

I can see where it might be read that way, and the bug fixes may be primarily for those machines, but I think it can be installed on any machine running at least 10.4. Not sure if the CueMix FX is an update, or not-- the version from this update is 1.02. Anyway, it installed fine on my PPC iMac, although I don't currently have it hooked up to my 828mkII to test it.

Also rearranging channel order in CueNix FX would be nice

Punch in thru footswitch won't work any more on my 828mk1 with 1.4.9.
I've much use of this feature : either to record in studio (set to send [3]) or toggle play-pause on stage (set to send [Spacebar]).
I had to reverse to 1.4.8 and all is fine again.

Re: MOTU 1.4.9- doesn't fix audio dropouts for Intel MBP

Post by williamm »

FireWire 1.4.9 didn't fix the audio dropouts I've been suffering from with 828 Classic, Intel MacBook Pro, and AudioDesk 2.11. By the way, how can I search this forum for references to "1.4.9"? The search engine says it's too common, even if I type it in quotes.

@williamm-

still getting dropouts here too, but on an ultralite/imac 2.8 gHz/any audio app. unable to contact tech support for two weeks, always busy, no response via techlink. looks like time to get rid of the motu and go with something else. lame.

double clicking the monitor level knob in cuemix still turns the volume full blast. when i first bought my 828mk3 double clicking the monitor level knob in cuemix would turn the volume completely off. after an earlier update i noticed it somehow reversed function so that double clicking maxes the volume setting, so it remains. poo i declare.

Now my Ultralite mk3 is recognized in MIDI Devices in Audio MIDI Setup.
It wasn't in 1.4.8. Huge bug fix.
