Gee, thank you Timriley. The TAL plugs are slowly being ported over to AU, and this seems to have seen this new one immediately available in that format.

Nice one mate. Thank you again.

I went ahead and consolidated and checked everything mentioned in the list, as well as adding a few things and cleaning up links.

New build, new skin. Get it while it's hot:

http://www.alphakanal.de:4356/articles/ ... utomat-1-0

P.S.

This is the setup that works for me:

Macintosh HD>Library>Audio>Presets>alphkanal>Automat1 Folder>Presets>.aupreset(s)

User>Library>Audio>Plugins>Components>Automat1.component

User>Library>Audio>Presets>alphakanal>Automat1 Folder>samples AND tuning folders

As far as I can tell, the samples need to be .aif files

I just installed Automat 1.0 and everything goes to your User folders rather than to the Global ones when you launch the install shell script. On OS X 10.4.11, DP 5.13 doesn't show the presets in the mini-menu list, although it does show the samples and tunings in the plug-in's pop-up menus. If you move everything to the Global folder, DP sees the presets but it doesn't see the samples and tunings, so some of the presets won't work.

You have to put the presets in the Global folder and the samples and tunings in the User folder to get this to work properly. I've no idea why alphakanal does it like this. Just a heads-up for those who may be having problems.

Global path for presets:

<Boot HD>/Library/Audio/Presets/alphakanal/Automat1

User path for samples and tunings:

<User short name>/Library/Audio/Presets/alphakanal/Automat1

Note the lower-case "a" for "alphakanal."

Kind regards.
Dave Bourke

Thank you for sharing that critical info, Davo.

Stiwi's been on our board before, and he did attempt to clarify this stuff. Here's hoping he consolidates/simplifies things further with subsequent releases; this makes no sense to me.

The previous (1.0) version has been removed from this site, which is interesting.

Just released: Delay Trio

The three plugins are +delay (classic delay effects), +pitchdelay, (essentially the same plugin with controls oriented toward pitch shifting), and finally +bubbler (a granular delay in which grains are pulled from the delay line with randomized start time, delay time and pitch shift value).

Much thanks for these Great plugs for textures and thinking outside the square.

Just found this free AudioUnits UB plugin from Reign Design called 1-time.. Tape Saturation plugin that sounds quite interesting to my ears... Different to the free Massey plugin..... Apparently especially good used on kicks and basses!

Be very careful with some of the other effect plugin demos from Reign Design...... They have some serious issues on my system such as loud bursts of an indescribable noise and according to some other forums i've read, im not alone! The Red Tape and Q Box were the worst culprits.... Not quite ready for human consumption i think!!
