Roel de Witt wrote:Hi,

It's unlikely such a piano module will ever end up in TruePianos. Actually we decided over a year ago to avoid ever putting a honkytonk like piano in the product. For overall untuning load up two instances of TruePianos, layer them and put one of them -0..-8 cents out of tune while the other one will be +0..+8 cents out of tune and apply a slight chorus or one of or both layers. I'm typing this from memory but this is how I usually made HonkyTonk patches in the days I still worked with soundfonts. Individual note detuning is far more tricky of course.

Perhaps you can fake the feel by adding a background noise of a 'bar' in your recording :)

Hi Roel.... Thanks for the responce!! I'll give you're suggestions a try......

I remember the band 'Madness' made an instrumental track called "The Return of the Los Palmas 7" where the song starts and ends with the background noise of a bar! Great track too!! :D

Thanks again!

How's the Leopard compatibility thing going? Still can't use TruePianos and don't want to downgrade to Tiger to use it. :( It doesn't appear at all in DP 5.13.

My bad... Roel contacted me and suggested I download the TP audio engine again as there was a "silent update" that fixes it. First time I ran DP after installing it didn't work for some weird reason. Now the second time it does. I can't figure it out, but it's working... so I was wrong.

TRUE PIANOS IS LEOPARD COMPATIBLE.

Oh and it sounds great!

Is the TruePianos discount to UnicorNation members still available? I just tried the Unicornation link ( http://www.truepianos.com/unicorn.php ) and got the following message after entering my username and password.
Could not connect unicornation.com server.
Please, try again later.
I tried a couple of more times, but every time with the same result. :(

Hi,

The IP of the UnicorNation server has probably changed.. We'll adjust our scripts to this as soon as possible.. We're quite busy at the moment (new TruePianos update coming up soon) but give it a try tomorrow and it might work. I can't promise anything right now though.

Sorry about that... that probably happened when I did the aborted change to motunation.com. :( Thanks Roel for fixing that.

I noticed on the website that there is an "Amber" module. I don't see that in my version (1.02). Am I missing something?

Do you mean on your version of the plugin or on their website?

You can see an icon on the second screenshot at the following link:

Something else I've noticed: That screenshot has Reverb included! I really don't understand it. As far as I can see, v.1.02 is the most current version (for Mac). Could it be available just for the Windows version?

Hi,

We're planning on releasing TruePianos v1.4 today. Yesterday I've updated most of the website and last night we uploaded most files for Mac/Windows. As soon as everybody is awake (really :)) we'll probably do the last steps and officially launch it.

The manual and demo versions are online already.

Main changes for Mac OS X:
- Decreased CPU usage for existing modules varying from approx 10-35% depending on the CPU and the loaded module.
- New module named Amber and some tweaking on the other modules.
- In-engine Reverb.
- Several bug fixes.
