Is the Ultralie Mk3 software backward compatable?

Post by ultralite673 »

I have the first or Mk1 Ultralite, I notice there is no Mk2, but what is the difference?
And if it is only the software can Mk1 users also benefit?

cheers

Pretty sure the new UltraLite-mk3 has totally different DSP chips inside, like the 828mk3 and 896mk3. I don't think any software or firmware update for the original UltraLite will turn it into a mk3.

Err NO.

Good try though.
Creativity, some digital stuff and analogue things that go boom. crackle, bits of wood with strings on them that go twang

yes I think this makes it clear from the MOTU site....

Apply hardware DSP-driven effects processing to inputs, outputs, and busses independent of your host computer. Add Classic Reverb™ etc.......

kind regards
