What I just did...

Post by grimepoch »

Well, I went in and edited what I could:

Image

Notes:

(1) There is some alpha channel issues with the slider I didn't fix yet
(2) I want to completely REDO the pan knob, not really any better yet
(3) Could not find a place to change meter colors
(4) Added the separator line back in as much as possible
(5) Tried to do the best I could with solo/mute. Unfortunately, that color is hardcoded behind the text.
(6) Narrow mode has issues that I have not fixed.
(7) Could not find any way to change background behind mixer

So it's not bad. I like this a lot better myself for MY taste :)
[MacPro-4x2.66/7G/OSX10.5.2 - 2x896HD - ADA8000 - Lucid Genx6 - DP5.13 - Logic 8.02 - 2xUAD1e - ExpressXT - Mach5 - MX4 - Korg LegD - impOSCar - Battery3 - uTonic - Rapture - DimPro - Vanguard - Reaktor5 - Absynth4 - FM8 - Pro53 - Vokator - Waldorf Ed - Addictive Drums - Melodyne - Ultra Analog - Zebra2 - WaveArts - - Altiverb - Etc. ]

You're kidding me? You actually changed the resources, this is not Photoshop?

That's pretty sweet customizing, my friend. Now I want to see your car...

I was going to say no photoshop, but I actually did photoshop the actual files!!!! Here are the files I modified:

kVertLevelMeterIconSet_PictID.png
kMixingBoardSoloMuteButtonsIconSet_PictID.png
kMixingBoardBackgroundIconSet_PictID.png
kMixingBoardAutomationButtonIconSet_PictID.png
kMixingBoardAutomationBackgroundIconSet_PictID.png
kDialogButtonsIconSet_PictID.png
kVertLevelMeterIconSet_PictID.jpg

The DialogButtonIconSet changes didn't seem to change what I thought they'd change. Give me a few days to clean this up some more and I'll give you guys the files if you'd like. I am going to figure out what to do with the solo/mute buttons, etc.

As for cars, well I just got a new one. Here is picture of it (got an amazing deal for it, Brand new 2007 Spyder Eclipse from Mistubishi):

I think the wheels are too black and the car is too red. And where is the top? Doesn't the car come with a top?!

I'm already out $37.50 just looking at that!

Seriously. That is beautiful and I forgot all about DP as a result.

Congrats!

ROFL!!!!! The top has the OPTION of being up or down.

I'd have like the inside to be a tad darker, so I'll have to photoshop the files

:)

It's snappy too!! 265 Horse power V6 3.8L And thankfully it has not crashed on me yet!!!!

It does have a compressor, in the air-conditioning system, and a limiter on the acceleration for traction control if it needs it.

It's like DP as a car :)

And thanks!

GrimePooch .. nice job .. i agree with you on the mute / solo
No way to set the label background color to "clear / no color" huh ?

QUESTION: if you change the size of the mute and prefader buttons for the sends .. does it increase the active "click area" ..
those buttons are SO TINY ..

I am sure all the buttons are hardcoded for size.

As for the gas mileage, 18/26 and I mostly highway drive. So for me, this was much better than my Isuzu Rodeo that got 16/19.

(It gets good highway mileage because of the 6th gear in the transmission).

And VERY low latency!

:)

Here's my custom mixing board so far. It took a few minutes to get this look and can be even further refined. Thanks go to grimepoch for the inspiration:

No problem and good job. I wish they hadn't hard coded the mute button text so I am still figuring out how I want to handle that :)

Thanks. Agreed on the text. If you figure it out, let me know. :-)

I'm still making some mods to it, but I am liking it better. 8)
