Generally, I'd agree with that. But there is much to be said for making what you have work for you. Some of my best scores (IMO) were don quite simply. IN the old days, that meant a TEAC 2340 (still have it!), a piano, a floor tom tom and an 18" cymbal.cbergm7210 wrote:

Of course, I also LOVE to use MachFive. MX4, PlugSoundPro, V-Synth, and all my other toys. But I am also very careful about VIs. It is easy to duplicate sound sets. I find the PSP X-Treme FX card to be very similar to Evolve and quite enough for me in that genre. But who knows, in 2 weeks I may be banging on Heavyocity's door for an update.
