Why not stick with the theme of mythological creatures, and call ourselves

www.cyclopsity.com

or

www.medusajuica.com

or

www.centaursAreUs.com

or perhaps something more cryptic, like:

www.thehornyhorses.com

Incredibly, (and rather astonishingly too) all of these domains are still available to be grabbed!!!!

OR

we could just stick with the tried, tested and true!

Interesting pattern setting in with the vote count, and exactly what I expected:
Initially, as the more active 'Cornies (that's right - we'd no longer be 'Cornies! Unthinkable, IMHO) cast their votes, UnicorNation whizzed out to the front.
As those who generally care less and frequent the board less often become an ever-higher proportion of the vote count, alternative names will slowly start to reel DP in (it's happening already), but even if given 6 months, will not do so entirely.

There. Simple. Definitive proof that those who care most and who identify most closely with the site are averse to the idea of a name (and let's face it, an identity) change.

James, you're a man of the people, our Shepherd of the 'Cornies, right?
Well, right now this Unicorn's living in fear of extinction.

What I'm surprised at is the lack of votes. 158? It should be overloading the server. Geez, I hope the presidential election doesn't go like that...

That's about right, bOing boy.

We're a tightly-knit group, after all; when we squeeze in nice and close we only seem like a couple o' dozen Unicorns.
This is part of my point - as less active users (read: the other 35000!) start to vote, we'll see the MonkeyPoojections•„• take hold ever more strongly.

Unicorn is a word that belongs to nobody and everybody. MOTU is a registered trademark. I think that keeping Unicornation and leaving out the "word" MOTU gives the community some esoteric independence....and yet it is still easy to find, even for the first time, if one bothers to look.

Let me tell you... I had the great joy of having a prostate biopsy a while back. The reassurance "You'll only feel a little pressure" was accurate for only the first six of the dozen stabs of the needle. ARGGGGHHH!!

Wait, say that again. No, the other thing - yeah, that's it.

ARGGGGHHH.com
Formerly Unicornation

(James, that sounds like a real pain in the ... Hope I'll never have to go through that kind of stuff. I'd rather get hit by a bus and leave the game early. Come to think of it, I almost did once. Always look both ways.)
