Interesting pattern setting in with the vote count, and exactly what I expected:
Initially, as the more active 'Cornies (that's right - we'd no longer be 'Cornies! Unthinkable, IMHO) cast their votes, UnicorNation whizzed out to the front.
As those who generally care less and frequent the board less often become an ever-higher proportion of the vote count, alternative names will slowly start to reel DP in (it's happening already), but even if given 6 months, will not do so entirely.
There. Simple. Definitive proof that those who care most and who identify most closely with the site are averse to the idea of a name (and let's face it, an identity) change.
James, you're a man of the people, our Shepherd of the 'Cornies, right?
Well, right now this Unicorn's living in fear of extinction.
