Actually, it doesn't. I went ahead and got the nerve to run it. I'm not sure exactly what it does, but it took about 3 seconds and reported that xxx number of plugins were found in xx number of bundles. That was all.
The enabler that you are talking about is a different deal. I had already run that, and I had also registered the enabler at the website. The enabler authorizer put it on the iLok.
Everything runs fine, except that my L3 Multi-Maximizer still will not load. I'm curious to know if anyone who has the Platinum Bundle AND the L3 Multi-Maximizer -- which all works -- could check their iLok (
https://www.ilok.com/ ) and see if they have a separate license on the iLok itself for both the L3-LL UltraMaximizer, and the L3-MultiMaximizer. I'd be most grateful to know that bit of info. Why? Because during many hours of phone time with the Waves boys last spring, and 2 or 3 separate guys helping me, they all told me that the L3-LL license covers all the L3 products, including the UltraMaximizer, the MultiMaximizer, and the LL versions of each of those. I think they are wrong. On my Waves authorization page it shows separate iLok registrations for both products. All the things on that page appear in my iLok except for the L3 Multi-Maximizer.
I think we spent all that time trying to fix my L3 MM, and the whole problem was that it never got placed on the iLok to begin with. The guys at Waves were all wrong. If someone who has all these products working could check their iLok, it would prove either I'm right or the Waves guys are right. If I'm right, then there is my fix. That would clear up EIGHT MONTHS of Waves-grief.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can check on that for me.
