I dunno, I realize I am a DP novice. I do like the app, but a have nightmares if I want to play around with my arrangement, drag MIDI files around, rex files etc,..it takes me forever,..
btw, I use 2 X 19" monitors.
Thanks
Peter
Ah, you see, Peter? You and your Tracks Overview Window simply have not met and made friends. You're having TOW-anxiety. You've got to balance your TOW chakras.

:D
A little practice might help. Make a copy of your project, and then just go nuts. Copy things. Merge them. Drag them. Option-Drag them. Learn the keyboard commands. (I linked you to the tips sheet above, remember?) Zoom in and zoom out, and get used to what it does.
There's one thing that distinguishes DP from other DAWs in this regard: you're responsible for your endpoints. When I work with a file for a week or so, I get very familiar with measure numbers and markers, and it's pretty quick and easy for me to type in those endpoints for selection ranges. I don't always type them in, but when I want specific and exact subdivisions, I'll often type them in. That becomes almost a reflex after a while.
I don't want to drive this into the ground, so I'l stop here and give you a chance to look at it on your own. I hope the result is far better sleep!
