424e and 2408 not working...

Hey all I need some help!! I've upgraded to a MacPro quad 3.0 with 2gig ram and installed the latest 424 drivers from the webiste on 9/11 and the 424e card will not recognize my original 2408. Is there some trick?? I've got the 424e installed in the 2nd slot and the PCI Audio setup utlility recognizes the 424e, but says no audiowire ports are being used. I've tried all 4 audio ports and all the open pci slots. Help!!!

Have you tried changing audiowire ports followed by a "refresh" in the PCI audio console?
I'm not using the same hardware as you are....but that has cleared up some similar problems for me.

I don't know but it might be helpful. Seems that it makes a difference if you install the drivers BEFORE the actual PCI card.
