Too many duplicates in MIDI output column

Post by waterstrum »

For some reason, when I click on the output bar for my MIDI stuff, I get 11 duplicates of each MIDI choice.

I can still choose the MIDI output I want, but.....

Is there a way to thin this out to normal?

Thanks.

Supplementary question:

I've a set of dupes that's hung around for 2 years - PODxt and Bass PODxt.
It's mildly annoying having to carefully make selections, but it's only a pair of dupes.
Waterstrum's problem of 11 dupes of each choice sounds like a nightmare!

We both await a Unicorn in shining white... fur.

This happened to me recently. For some reason I was getting two choices for each single device. I went to the Bundles window and found in the MIDI section I had multiple devices. I don't know why. Weird. I just deleted the extra's and all was good.

Wow, Steve.

Having tried many things and given up a year ago, I've been waiting on an insight like that.
I've glanced at but not checked the list in that window, as I use AMS.
An inadvertent duplicating of a selection in this window could explain it, in theory at least.
I'm not able to check it out right now, but can't wait for that next boot-up tomorrow!

Thanks heaps, Steve; hopefully it helps waterstrum, if not the monkey.

Hey Steve,
Many thanks!
That did the trick.
For some reason my setup was duplicated 10 times.
I'm wondering how that happened.
I'm so happy to be rid of that long list.
Thanks.

Doh! No go.
No dupes in DP's MIDI "bundle" list.

The quest for a solution continues with more stone-turning...
