Re: DP 8 feature requests for QT
Oh Duh! QT is Quick Time. Well I'm not exactly on topic, but I made my point none the less.

Re: DP 8 feature requests for QT
How about graphic editing windows which can actually interpret data and draw lines. When editing MIDI volume data, for instance, it's constantly putting dots where you don't want them and putting elbows and weird corners in the lines. Drives me nuts! I'll ask again: A way to view your buffer size wi...

Re: Any info on DP 64 bit?
I spoke to one of the MOTU guys at NAMM, and he said they were hoping to have it ready for this years show, but it didn't happen. They're working hard on it. That's a lot of code, and they're a small company; they're not Apple. Anyway, it can't be too soon for me! I want to be able to work at 96k wi...

Re: Suggestions for next DP update
• it would be nice if MOTU can come up with a brain storm so that, when changing the buffer setting, all samples don't have to unload and reload. Right on brother! I have been begging for this for years. I change buffer settings a lot between tracking and mixing. It's so frustrating to have to wait ...

Re: 64-bit – a must for professional composers.
Hey, I'm happy about Mozart's 128 bit brain, but I'm trying to get some real information here. I've spent a year waiting for t.c. Electronic to update the Powercore drivers, thinking I'll be in 64 bit land when that happens, and now I realize, like a snake that just bit me, that DP 7.2 isn't even 64...

Re: Snow Leopard Aug 28. Who are the brave ones?
No way! Not 'till I get a clear go ahead from MOTU about Snow Leopard and DP 6.x , and until I've heard from the "Brave Ones" whether or not it seems to work. I know as soon as I install it, I'll be offered a new project, because that 's what always happens and I'll be tearing my hair out ...

Any inside track on next DP release?
I'm hoping they post a "stability" upgrade addressing many of the problems and concerns as listed, ad infinitum, in this forum. Don't need new features. Fix what ya' got!

Re: Error occurred...file was not loaded
Thank you all so much for your responses. Unfortunately After doing a few 3 Am sessions, I got tired or lazy or both and didn't back up, and I don't use Time Machine (afraid it will fill up my hard drives too fast). So my last backup was three days before the crash, during which time it went from a ...

Error occurred...file was not loaded
I was on deadline on a project for NBC.I came into the studio in the morning to open the file I had been working on and. BLAMO! I got this message: An Error occured while reading from disk. The File, " Insert name here" was not loaded. Mac OS Error: Unexpected error (103). I called MOTU of...

Re: Any news on 6.02?
Thanks for the humor. I need a laugh before I lose it and start breaking things To the guy who said they should take their time, I guess you don't write music for television. This should have happened months ago. It's disgraceful! They're allocating all these resources to some stupid drum machine pr...

Re: DP6 stability
DP 6 IS unstable. Sorry. Some of you may have systems where it's working; I'm happy for you. I have an 8 core Mac Pro and I'm always up to date on the latest software for everything. I repair disk permissions all the time, run Disk Warrior on all my disks. DP6 quits, it crashes, can't use my Sonnox ...

Does anyone have any real inside information? This is all just speculation, and though fascinating, doesn't get us any closer to the truth. Know any DP Developers? Hey, you people up in Boston, met any drunk MOTU engineers at a party lately? Nothing at last years NAMM, then the tantalizing presentat...
