Defektor

I am sorry to say, I have defected to Native Instruments as far as sampling is concerned. I have gone a year without MachFive and can wait no longer.

I through myself on the mercy of the court.

Thus far, I have been very pleased with Kontakt.

I was having intermittent crashing on my MacBook Pro as well. I removed all PPC plugins, used the "Load" function (*or drag/dropped song file to chunks window). Everything has been good since (knock on wood). Now if I could get a Intel version of MachFive I would be whole again but I guess...

5.1 Intel

The new UB version runs a hell of a lot faster on my MacBook Pro, so I am happy with that aspect, BUT... it crashes more than a lactose intolerent PC running Windows 98. The weird part is that it usually crashes from nothing more than sending MIDI data to it. WTF. I have never had any DP/MIDI issues...

Direct. To the point. Thanks, Phlak. How do you use M5, btw, that it has become so indispensable to you? What sounds are you using? ITB? Creating your own? Importing which formats? Surround? I made the switch to M5 about a year ago after a decade of using an Akai sampler, my pre-Akai years were spe...

no, I currently use my O1V for transport control.
Just map your MIDI messages in the commands window.

Motu is on da phone...

Got a call from MOTU the other day asking me how my UltraLite was working and if I had any questions. I told him it was @#!$ great! I was really surprised to get this call; surprised and impressed I should say. I have been using Motu products since Performer 2 and I gotta say they are a fantastic co...

It is a very programmable unit, but kinda a pain to learn how to use it, Unisyn now has a profile for it which is pretty handy.
