O.K. Thanks for the digitrans tips, they worked way cool!! Except one thing, I cant seem to get the stereo audio sounbites to open up in my pro tools session the way they were in DP, Am I missing something as far as saving a certain way in DP? Or is it something I need to figure out on the Pro Tools...

Actually the multi bounce would help if it would be automatic, but how does that work as far as labeling your tracks, because when you do a normal bounce to disk it names the track (soundbite), the name of the seq (song), if I am remembering correctly! So whats up with the multi bounce way? Next wou...

Thanks for the thought, I am desperately avoiding the bounce to disk thing from DP because of the track count being so freakin huge!! I would have normally done that, if the session wasnt 74 tracks! so I am going to have to experiment like you said and see whats what! I will let you know how it goes...

Dp 4.6 using digi 002 for engine crashing! Help!
Been trying to use a Digi 002 as the sound engine for DP, but when I choose the Digi 002 it crashes or at best allows MIDI only and disables the audio for DP.
Any clues?
Thanks

DP to Pro Tools OMF interchange!
Hi everyone!! I am attempting my first OMF interchange using a huge session from Dp to Pro tools, (74 tracks) and I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this for me. Mostly, the does and do nots! maybe from A-Z how its done would really help. I want to make this as smooth as possible, An...

Re: Beat Detection mini tutorial
Hey Alex! Re: Beat Detection mini tutorial
Alex, First of all, thank you for your help it is greatly appreciated. I have tried all your suggestions with no luck so far. One thing is still not making sense to me, on the tutorial the first thing to do is find beats in selection, next is go to the audio menu select> soundbite tempo > analyze so...

Re: Beat Detection mini tutorial
ALEX,
Could you shed a little more lite on how to edit individual beats out, say removing all the hi hats, in order to have just kick and snare?
The adjust beat detection removes kicks and snares that are important before removing all the hats, on this particular loop!
Thank you again.

Re: Beat Detection mini tutorial
Alex, Way cool tutorial, It worked perfectly step by step from your example download. Next I tried to use your technique on a new sequence of my own, and ran into a few gltches. I started with a sequence at 65 BPM 24 bit @ 44.1, with 1 track of MIDI (piano) and a scratch vox track. Next I imported a...

Re: Has anyone heard from MOTU re: terrible MIDI?
Hardin! Yes I am still here also, As to your last post, Maybe your drum track plays poorly on the older version because it was recorded poorly on the newer version. Try recording a simple drum track again on the old version setup and then see how it plays back regarding your MIDI jam and stuck notes...

Hello everyone! In what I believe to be a related thread as far as MIDI problems in general with DP 4.52. everyone from here should check out the thread (Has anyone heard from Motu re bad MIDI timing) I truly believe that the problems that everyone is having are all related at some maybe not so basi...

Re: Has anyone heard from MOTU re: terrible MIDI?
I'm not sure I follow this suggestion. One of my MTPs is USB, one is serial. They are networked together. how can I swap them? Do you mean reversing the port assignments and repatching a lot of cables in the back? I wasnt paying attention to the facy that 1 of the MTP,s is serial only, YES? Is it? I...

Re: Has anyone heard from MOTU re: terrible MIDI?
Hardin OK you cant try the serial thing, I understand, but how about swapping the other MTP for the one you are currently using in your test setup and see if it behaves the same way as the other, Maybe a bad MTP? maybe try setting it back to its factory preset and try again, I believe it will reset ...

Re: Has anyone heard from MOTU re: terrible MIDI?
HARDIN You seem to really be giving it the old college try! Heres another experiment that I just thought of, Try using just your SERIAL MTP with no USB involved at all, that is if you have a serial input on your G4, if this helps at least you will know its down to a USB/MIDI problem. I have had this...
