This appears to work for the MTPAV USB though I have only tested very briefly going through the ports and seeing if all 16 show up as I have two connected together. Routing appears to be working.

If the MIDI express.XT works like the timepiece AV you only need to send to one port and it will automatically send to all the other ports.

This usually happens when two devices are sending clock. I’m assuming when your using Cubase it’s sending clock as your MIDI beat clock master. Well I dug out the other apple talk cable in the Apple box. Before replacing the cable I tested and did not have any issue. So looks like something just must have gotten hosed the other day. At least I found my other cable in case I need it.

OK, so the cable seems to work fine. I'm surprised. But I haven't noticed any issues. No lag that I can tell. No stuck notes etc.

I would like to use one of these with the Motu MTP/AV.

Using a powered USB 2 hub in between the USB 3 port on MBP did resolve the stuck note issue with the Motu MTP AV USB. Happy this worked. However, it would be nice if this was not needed. It would be nice if Apple/Motu fixed this.
