Thanks for the reply, Mike. I checked to make sure that DP had microphone access, and it did. I tried your suggestions, including reinstalling the OS, and I'm having the same text issues with the interface. I opened a techlink with motu, so we'll see what they say.

Strange that one can just create another "pre-master" aux, route everything that way that would have normally gone to the master, load up whatever plugs you want to use on that aux, and no problem, at least not in my case.

Plugins on master track appear to be the problem. Probably worth having this version of the solution tacked onto the end of this thread.

Has anyone found out what's going on with this? I'm having the same issue, and it's rendering DP unusable.

I have that checked but my playhead/wiper always sticks to the left edge of the sequence window.

I've used Performer since 1988, but suddenly I cannot get the playhead to center in the sequence window! There used to be an obvious menu item for this.. probably still is. Yes, I'm wearing my glasses! Anyone point me to that option please? Thanks!

Thanks guys - I wound up talking to MOTU tech support, and indeed, there are new default preferences that enable stretch for new tracks. It was a little confusing determining that because of the native tempos of the audio I was importing vs. the default 120, so it really sounded like a sampling rate...

Whatever this is, it's affecting how DP handles audio even before it gets imported- i.e., during the import process. Sent tech support request to MOTU. Will report back if I get any answers.

I can't recall DP ever auto-adjusting tempo on anything I ever imported.

In 20 years, I've never had to lock tracks in any DP project I've ever recorded or edited, so I don't think that can be the issue, but thanks!
