Re: Solo piano project: best way to set audio levels in the mixer
Thank you very much, Doug. I will be exporting as a wav file. Would that make a difference? I like the reverb effects setting in the Ivory app (Lyrical Hall); would there be any advantage to using, say, Proverb in DP?

Solo piano project: best way to set audio levels in the mixer
I am completing a simple project using DP 9: a solo piano work of mine, using Synthogy's Ivory I (American Concert Grand) sample library to create the MIDI track, then a Master track. Any ideas as to how to most effectively set the audio levels: for the MIDI track, the Instrument track, the Master t...

Re: MIDI Play back suddenly has skips
Disable record and maybe disconnect the controller. Sounds like it’s sending data. Hi, I disconnected the controller and re-started DP but it keeps happening. I'm not quite sure what you mean by Disable record on the MIDI track, but the red record button was off. Then, playing around, I turned it b...

MIDI Play back suddenly has skips
Hi, I recorded in MIDI a classical piano work using Synthogy Ivory II and a Yamaha keyboard. No problem. Have been editing it, correcting notes, velocities, etc. and suddenly the playback starts skipping (ie. scrolling continues but there are gaps in the sound and the Controller 64 (pedal) goes on a...

Re: DP 9 (Mac) not communicating with my MIDI controller
Here is the advice MOTU tech support sent: Digital Performer Corruption Tips Project glitches Have you noticed this behavior in multiple DP projects? If a specific Digital Performer project consistently exhibits issues, try launching the project in Safe Mode. Quit DP. Hold the Alt/ Option key click ...

Re: DP 9 (Mac) not communicating with my MIDI controller
MOTU Tech support was able to help. The problem occurred with multiple projects, so I followed the directions sent to me to deal with Preferences corruption. It worked.

Re: DP 9 (Mac) not communicating with my MIDI controller
I'm not sure what you mean... On MIDI monitor, my Axiom keyboard appears and lights up when I play a key. Could you mean something about the IAC Driver?HCMarkus wrote:Make sure all drivers are up to date.
Check DP MIDI Settings.

Re: DP 9 (Mac) not communicating with my MIDI controller
Yes, I can create a new output bundle. Also, I went back to a project using DP 7.24 and had no problem with MIDI controller communicating.
Is there something having to do with Remap MIDI devices, MIDI device groups, or MIDI monitor that I need to do?

I also went back to an older project that I created a month ago, and the same thing is happening. Did I unwittingly change some setting?MIDI Life Crisis wrote:Are you able to start a new output bundle?

DP 9 (Mac) not communicating with my MIDI controller
Suddenly I am unable to get DP9 to accept signals from my MIDI controller (Axiom 61), so I can't record on MIDI tracks. The MIDI instrument in DP is Aria player, using Garritan libraries. I have tried Mac Audio/MIDI setup. When I am using a standalone Aria player I have no problems with the MIDI con...

Re: How to make an audio track of a click track?
Thanks for the reply! I got it done. John I route click to an Aux, so I can grab a fader on the mixer and adjust level without going into preferences. This also allows me to use pre-fader sends to route different click levels to different monitor mixes. You can set this up in Click Preferences, then...

How to make an audio track of a click track?
Hi, I need to produce an audio click track for a performer to record her part in a work of mine. The mp3 file will include the click track and also the virtual instruments that I'm using in the piece (for background to help him know what else is going on). How do I "bounce" or "freeze...

Re: CD Burning Issue
CD burning in DP has been completely unreliable since it was first implemented. It's a great idea but put simply: it just doesn't work. Get a dedicated app like Toast or even burn via iTunes and just forget DP as a reliable burner. It's not the media. It's not the OS. It's not you. It's DP. That is...

Re: Nanosampler and very simple samples
Well, I sort of got it to work. I changed the root pitch to A-2 from C-2, since a root pitch of A-5 did nothing, and wouldn't "stick" when I made the change. When I played the note, though, the MIDI track displayed the pitch of A minus 1. Interesting. To make the note longer I tried loopin...
