MIDI Play back suddenly has skips
Hi, I recorded in MIDI a classical piano work using Synthogy Ivory II and a Yamaha keyboard. No problem. Have been editing it, correcting notes, velocities, etc. and suddenly the playback starts skipping (ie. scrolling continues but there are gaps in the sound and the Controller 64 (pedal) goes on an off, randomly and different every time I play the file back. Help. Thanks. John Newell

Disable record and maybe disconnect the controller. Sounds like it’s sending data.

Hi, I disconnected the controller and re-started DP but it keeps happening. I'm not quite sure what you mean by Disable record on the MIDI track, but the red record button was off. Then, playing around, I turned it back on and the track plays correctly. Hmmm.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:Disable record and maybe disconnect the controller. Sounds like it’s sending data.

I was thinking if DP was in record mode perhaps the controller was sending data. Have you checked the controller data (volume, pedals, etc) in the track(s)?
There are a few things I'd try. First, start a new project and LOAD the sequence into the new project to see if the project is corrupted.
I'd also go to the event list to see if there's some weird stuff happening on the track. You probably need to filter out the notes and some controllers.
Make sure the VI is up to date.
Obviously, restart the computer.

Sounds like the pre-rendering engine got confused. After toggling record-enable, is it fixed now?
