Re: ReVoice workflow?
Hi James I just tried it and I find that if I simply drop the exported Revoice Pro file into the left side of the Tracks or SE window ... (thus making a new track) rather than dropping into a pre-existing track , it aligns correctly. If that works at your end you could then just Shift drag the file ...

Re: How do I disable automation as default for new tracks?
Hi Irimi I agree with you... this issue did come up here many years ago ... I forgot about it... and then found all new tracks had automation enabled by default.... for years I thought "I need to sort this out" ... but never pursued it Your question prompted me to go back and sort this out...

Re: Inconsistent Results With Tempo Mapping
Hi bayswater I mentioned Moises before... it creates a superb Smart Click audio track... I think it is a great solution until DP does implement a top notch Find Tempo algorithm. It really works well... I did find that DP's Analyze Soundbite Tempo works correctly only if the track starts at a clear O...

Re: Inconsistent Results With Tempo Mapping
OK I've just had a penny dropping moment Let me answer my own question ( : After making a MIDI track from the audio click track go Edit> Copy Audio to MIDI > Beats to a new MIDI track .... you can then do a Time range selection of that MIDI track and go Region> Set Sequence Tempo from MIDI ... it wo...

Re: Inconsistent Results With Tempo Mapping
Hi there I’m getting stuck with creating a good Conductor Tempo track from a free time performance … it’s a recurring difficulty for me Basically I take the same steps as Bayswater outlined in the original post here: "- put the first downbeat at 1/1/0, - remove whatever tempo info their might b...

Re: Inconsistent Results With Tempo Mapping
Hi bayswater Following your report about DP having an updated and improved Beats to Tempo, I just tried a couple of tracks in DP for the first time in a few years….…..Man…you are right! … it has been greatly improved ( : Like others here I had experienced difficulties in the past with this and was v...

Re: Inconsistent Results With Tempo Mapping
Hi bayswater I can help with this one Have you seen Moises app? https://moises.ai it does an incredible job of providing an audio tempo track to any material I've used it on Using Moises' Track Separation mode Moises rips any stereo track to individual stems... many ripping options are available but...

Re: Nothing going into Master Fader. - RESOLVED
Point of trivia that may or may not be helpful: if you have more than one Master Fader track, the one that appears leftmost in the Mixer takes priority. This can be helpful in situations where you my have high latency plugins on the Master Fader, but want lower latency for tracking. Create another ...

Re: Cool YouTube Video... using Dynamic EQ and Sidechain to make "space" for vocal
Thanks so much FMiguelez.. I really appreciate your kind help According to my notes, it works nicely. It does take a little time to setup and figure out at first, but it's a nice worth little trick. They also read that I got quite side-tacked by playing with a linear phase EQ and polarity-inverted t...

Re: Cool YouTube Video... using Dynamic EQ and Sidechain to make "space" for vocal
I spoke too early….my apologies…. it’s not ‘perfectly clear’ to me at all… actually it’s still quite a mindbender FMiguelez’s point about a sort of reverse ducking is a challenge to me. … trying to have the Main Vocal rise together with the Music ….….or when the music is soft the vocal reduces level...

Re: Cool YouTube Video... using Dynamic EQ and Sidechain to make "space" for vocal
That's a great idea, and I was trying to find a setting that would do that. I would increase the release time, but that only delayed the moment that it would return to zero... not the rate at which it did. After a while of trying to do that with release time, it becomes apparent that there's also t...

Re: Connecting Avid S3 via AVB to MOTU 16A
Just to follow up.... it seems we need to use an AVB switcher ... pretty sure now that it's not possible with a direct connection MOTU Discovery looks for 'MOTU AVB devices'... which the S3 is not... and Avid states that an AVB switch is required So there it is... I will update if/when we make progr...

Connecting Avid S3 via AVB to MOTU 16A
Hi there I'm trying to connect a PT session which uses the Avid S3 desk in Studio B to my MOTU 16A in Studio A via AVB MOTU Discovery doesn't see it and I don't know how to advise my colleague about how to set it up correctly there... I believe I should be able to get this working... Shouldn't Disco...

Re: I Need To Rescan the AU VIs and Plug-ins
There is an old issue with plug-ins that affected a MacOS and it involved having an iPhone. Apple resolved it quickly but it affected a few people around here. Since I was one of those who wasn’t affected, I don’t remember any of the details nor even how to search for those old threads but somebody...
